Job summary

Freelancer Prox is seeking an Area Production Manager to oversee our Calgary facility's production operations and lead a team of supervisors. You will ensure efficient manufacturing processes, quality control, and timely product delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, purchasing, and logistics, to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet production targets and customer demands.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Manage inventory levels and work closely with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
