Job summary

Northern Lights School Division #113 is seeking a maintenance candidate to perform building trades tasks and related duties. The ideal applicant has a Grade 12 or equivalent diploma, a valid fireman's certificate, and experience in building trades, with computer knowledge and a valid driver's license.

The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, use appropriate tools, produce quality work, collaborate with various trades, and perform heavy lifting as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent diploma
• Valid fireman's certificate
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in one or more of the building trades
• Computer knowledge
• Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment required to perform assigned work.
• Ability to produce quality work
• Ability to work cooperatively with other trades and contractors
• Ability to do heavy work (exert 100lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs of force frequently and 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects).
