Job summary

Groupe Lessard, located at 2025 Bd Dagenais O, Laval, QC, is seeking an Architectural Technician to join its team. The role focuses on technical drafting, detailing, and precision for large-scale projects in architectural aluminum and glass systems.

The successful candidate will prepare design drawings, interpret construction documents, and collaborate with Coordinators to resolve technical requirements while maintaining schedules and quality standards.

Qualifications

• DEC in Architectural Technology or DEP in Building Drafting.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in the building envelope industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Ability to meet work deadlines and work as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret documents required for the execution of construction projects.
• Work closely with Technical Coordinators to research and propose technical solutions for each project, in accordance with established standards.
• Prepare design drawings.
• Update drawing elements, including elevations, details, and anchoring.
• Accurately verify the quantities of products required to complete the projects under your responsibility, including glass, aluminum, etc.
• Work with Production Technicians to coordinate the technical details of products.
