Job summary

Menuiserie Authentique is seeking an on-site Architectural Designer to develop drawings, manage construction documents, and supervise site activities with a small team. The candidate should have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and hold a College/CEGEP or equivalent in architecture or construction.

You will prepare materials and schedules, supervise drafts, and coordinate with contractors while performing feasibility studies and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• College/CEGEP or equivalent experience is required.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience is expected.
• On-site work with no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Participate in contract negotiations.
• Prepare documents showing structural needs and materials for construction.
• Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and construction documents for contractors.
• Conceptualize and design buildings, develop plans with design specs, materials, costs and schedules.
• Office management and construction site supervision.
• Prepare sketches and models; perform architectural research.
• Staff recruitment and selection; conduct feasibility studies of building projects.
• Supervision of technologists and technicians; estimate costs.
• Proposal preparation; tender and administer contracts.
• Write plans describing project specifications and construction schedules.
• Monitor construction site activities for compliance with specs.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects.
