Senior Manager | Architecture & Design at Hays

Our client, an architecture powerhouse, and a large multi-discipline firm is looking to add a Project Manager to their growing team in Edmonton working with their residential studio. With decades of experience in the industry & multiple award recognitions for sustainability, design, planning & development this is a special opportunity to make an impact on the built environment. *hybrid opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning and execution across all disciplines, developing detailed work plans, allocating resources, and tracking progress.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee the development and coordination of construction documentation, including drawings and specifications.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing concerns and facilitating clear communication among stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with contractors, sub-consultants, and authorities to resolve constructability issues and ensure compliance with building codes and permit requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in multifamily construction.
  • Solid understanding project accounting, strategic development, business development, project management and client management.
  • Familiarity with architectural and engineering systems design, including M&E and structural systems
  • Proficiency in Procore or comparable construction management platforms, with the ability to oversee project documentation, scheduling, and team collaboration tools effectively.

The successful candidate will receive a compensation package of $90-105K (dependent on experience) + bonus, RRSP and 3 weeks’ vacation + the week off over Christmas.
