Job summary

Clark Builders in Calgary is hiring Architectural Cladders to install architectural metal roofing products and related systems as part of a safety‑conscious construction team. Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, you will handle various cladding and roofing tasks.

Responsibilities include installing standing seam and screw-fastened roof systems, air/vapor barriers, insulation, and panel systems, while maintaining a clean site and documenting daily tasks and hazards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building envelope and rain screen systems.
• Careful attention to detail and proper installation of cladding and roofing systems.
• The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.
• The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.
• The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install metal roof systems (standing seam and screw fastened).
• Install air and vapor barriers (Peel and Stick, Torch on).
• Install insulation and retrofit roof/wall cladding assemblies.
• Install, repair or replace standing seam metal roofs.
• Install sheet metal flashings for roofs and walls.
• Install pre-insulated metal foam panel systems.
• Install composite panel systems (aluminum, fiber cement, etc.).
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Install primers, sub-grits, flashing and caulking for architectural products.
• Maintain a clean construction site and daily task logs.
• Represent Clark Builders professionally and adhere to policies.

Position Description:

Clark Builders is hiring Architectural Cladders for work in Calgary. This role will be responsible for the installation of various architectural metal roofing products. Reporting to: Foreman or Superintendent

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Metal roof systems i.e.) standing seam and screw fastened.
• Air and Vapor barriers i.e.) Peel and Stick membranes, Torch on roof membranes.
• Install insulation.
• Roof and wall cladding retro-fit assemblies.
• Install, repair or replace standing seam metal roofs.
• Conventional metal roofing and liner assemblies.
• Install sheet metal flashings.
• Install pre-insulated metal foam panel systems.
• Install composite panel systems i.e.) aluminum composite material, plate aluminum, fiber cement and phenolic wood core panel systems.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Custom architectural roofing products i.e.) sunshades and architectural louvers.
• Install primers, sub grits, flashing and caulking associated with the above noted architectural products.
• Maintaining a clean construction site.
• Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.
• Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
• Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of building envelope and rain screen systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience with the installation of Architectural Cladding products
• Valid first aid certificate an asset.
• Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.
