Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a senior Architect/Project Lead to advance integrated design for Northern Canada projects. You will develop proposals, maintain BIM models, and prepare output drawings while mentoring others and coordinating with internal and external teams.

Ideal candidates have a professional Architecture degree, 5+ years of experience, and are registered or eligible in Canada. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered, with opportunities to relocate to Yellowknife or other

Qualifications

• Requires a professional degree in Architecture and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Registered or able to become registered within one year as an Architect with a Canadian Architects Association.
• Preferential credentials include LEED/Lean/PMP/Contract Administration or related Building Science.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex tasks on multiple, large scope projects and ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
• Lead and mentor project teams; coordinate owner/site meetings and manage communications with external consultants.
• Plan, organize, and direct project work through its life cycle and safeguard project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate change orders, contractor payments, and ensure proper documentation of project activities.
• Travel to small communities to conduct building condition assessments or review construction progress; support invoicing and collections.
