Job summary

Architecture Panel Inc. in British Columbia seeks an early-career architect to join our on-site team. You will contribute to conceptual design, generate drawings, and collaborate with clients from concept through construction.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree and 2–3 years of experience. You will assist with feasibility studies, prepare sketches and models, supervise drawings, and participate in contract negotiations and site monitoring.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in architecture or related field.

Responsibilities

• Award construction contracts to building contractors
• Consult with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered
• Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons
• Participate in contract negotiations
• Prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction
• Supervise the preparation of drawings, specifications and other construction documents for use by contractors and tradespersons
• Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs and construction schedules
• Prepare sketches and models
• Conduct feasibility studies of building projects
• Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects
