Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company of Canada, Limited is seeking a Crew Leader to guide a team across multiple job sites in Alberta. You will mentor crew members, ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard, and serve as the main client contact for arboricultural services.

Responsibilities include directing crew, operating tools, pruning and removals, and maintaining equipment while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Arborist.
• ISA certification or enrollment in arboriculture program or equivalent.
• Valid provincial driver’s license; 5-ton vehicle license asset.
• Ability to direct a team on safely ascending tree canopies at heights.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew safely and efficiently on client sites.
• Direct crew and equipment; plan and execute assigned work.
• Supervise maintenance and operation of tools including chainsaws and lifts.
• Perform pruning and removal tasks safely and skillfully.
• Provide expert trimming and tree care inspections for clients.
• Manage customer service expectations and safety policies.
