Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited is seeking a Climbing Arborist to work on-site in Port Coquitlam, BC. You will be in the field handling tree and vegetation management with a hands-on approach, interacting with the public, and ensuring work is completed safely and on time.

The role requires climbing experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Certification as an Arborist is preferred or willingness to work toward it.

Qualifications

• Must understand safe canopy ascent at heights.
• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience.
• Certified Arborist or willing to pursue certification.

Responsibilities

• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood in tree canopies.
• Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Assist crew with setup, debris removal, and site cleanup.
• Follow Davey safety policies and procedures.
