Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Richmond is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join the Service Department. You will support vehicle maintenance and upgrades, learn from licensed technicians, and contribute to efficient shop operations while adhering to brand standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, documentation accuracy, and progress toward becoming a skilled technician, with compensation ranging from CAD 21.00 to CAD 45.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a registered automotive apprenticeship program.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Document all repairs, inspections, and services performed in a clear and accurate manner.
• Assist licensed technicians with daily repair and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Perform additional service requests and basic mechanical tasks under supervision.
• Road test vehicles before and after servicing to verify repair needs and completed work (as permitted by training level).
• Notify the Service Advisor of any additional required repairs, parts, or labor identified during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.
• Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety guidelines.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or designated supervisor.

Position Overview

The Apprentice Technician atMercedes-Benz Richmondplaysan important role in supporting the Service Department by assisting withvehicle maintenance, repair activities, and overall shop efficiency. Reportingto the Service Manager, this position provides hands ‑ on learningand mentorship opportunities while contributing to the team ’ s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and high ‑ qualityautomotive work.

This role supports the dealership’s long ‑ termtechnician pipeline by developing core technical skills, maintaining accuratedocumentation, and ensuring all service operations follow brand and dealershipstandards.

The expectedpayfor this position is$21.00 - $45.00 per hour.
