Job summary

North Shore Honda, part of the Dilawri group, seeks an Apprentice Technician to support the Service Department with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks while gaining hands-on mentorship. You will help maintain documentation and contribute to shop efficiency, under the guidance of the Service Manager.

The role develops core technical skills and aligns with brand standards, offering practical learning and growth within a large automotive group.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a registered automotive apprenticeship program.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Document all repairs, inspections, and services performed in a clear and accurate manner.
• Assist licensed technicians with daily repair and maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Perform additional service requests and basic mechanical tasks under supervision.
• Road test vehicles before and after servicing to verify repair needs and completed work (as permitted by training level).
• Notify the Service Advisor of any additional required repairs, parts, or labor identified during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.
• Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety guidelines.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or designated supervisor.

Position Overview

The Apprentice Technician at North Shore Honda plays an important role in supporting the Service Department by assisting with vehicle maintenance, repair activities, and overall shop efficiency. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position provides hands‑on learning and mentorship opportunities while contributing to the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and high‑quality automotive work.

This role supports the dealership’s long‑term technician pipeline by developing core technical skills, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring all service operations follow brand and dealership standards.

The expected pay for this position is $23.04 - $46.08 per hour.
