Job summary

Thor Plumbing is seeking Apprentice Steam Fitters to develop skills in mechanical piping on commercial, institutional and industrial projects in Winnipeg, MB. This full-time apprenticeship role offers hands-on experience alongside experienced tradespeople and progressive responsibility as skills grow.

You’ll learn from journeypersons, read drawings, install piping components, and complete required on-the-job hours to advance in the apprenticeship program.

Thor Plumbing & Heating is looking for Apprentice Steam Fitters who want to develop their skills in mechanical piping and construction. You’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople on commercial, institutional and industrial projects while progressing through your apprenticeship.

The role provides hands-on experience with piping systems, drawings, materials and installation practices, with increasing responsibility as your skills develop.

What you’ll do

• Assist with the installation of mechanical piping systems

• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a construction crew
• Ability to follow drawings, instructions and established work procedures
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s licence considered an asset
