Job summary

Thor Plumbing & Heating is seeking Apprentice Plumbers in Winnipeg, MB to build hours and develop skills under Journeypersons. Compensation ranges from $45,000 to $75,000 depending on apprenticeship level and experience, with full-time, on-site employment.

You will learn through hands-on work on plumbing, heating, service and project tasks, progressing to more technical duties as you gain experience.

Qualifications

• Register with Apprenticeship Manitoba or eligible to enter the plumbing apprenticeship program.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
• Valid driver’s license is considered an asset.
• Reliable, safety-focused and able to work as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Assist with plumbing and heating installations, repairs and maintenance.
• Measure, prepare and install piping and plumbing components.
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
• Learn to read drawings, specifications and job instructions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and testing plumbing systems.
• Maintain tools, materials and a safe work area.
• Learn from Journeypersons and senior technicians in the field.
• Complete required apprenticeship training and on-the-job hours.

Thor Plumbing & Heating is looking for Apprentice Plumbers who want to build their skills and progress through the plumbing trade. You’ll work alongside experienced Journeypersons on plumbing, heating, service and project work while completing the practical experience required through your apprenticeship.

As your skills develop, you’ll take on increasingly technical work and greater responsibility in the field.

What you’ll do
