Job summary

Kibbi in Oakville, Ontario, is seeking a permanent sheet metal worker to join our on-site fabrication shop. The role is full-time with 36–48 hours per week, requiring reading blueprints, marking, cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal parts to meet building codes.

The candidate should have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and 2–3 years of related experience, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent in sheet metal work.
  • 2–3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication.
  • Fluent English and ability to work on site in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to template.
  • Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.
  • Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification.
  • Cut materials using power tools or by hand.
  • Fit and join sheet metal parts.
  • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
