Job summary

Kibbi in Canada seeks a skilled welder for permanent, full‑time work in a heavy manufacturing environment. You will work 40 to 44 hours per week and fabricate or repair metal parts using a range of welding processes. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Applicants should have a college diploma or certificate in welding and 3–5 years of related experience. WHMIS and First Aid certifications are expected. Own transportation preferred.

  • Ability to read welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings and processes.
  • Examine welds for conformance to standards and specs.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment and oxygen/arc cutting.
  • Assess weldability of materials and select appropriate processes.
  • Handle hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operate pre-set welding machines to fabricate or repair parts.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
