Job summary

Boardwalk in Regina, Canada is seeking a motivated plumbing apprentice to join our field team. You will support service of plumbing systems, fixtures and gas equipment, and you will work closely with Journeypersons to learn on the job.

The role requires active safety training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy pipes. Strong customer service and organizational skills help you thrive in a busy, on-site environment with occasional on-call overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be currently in 2nd year plumbing apprenticeship.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to lift heavy pipes and have physical stamina.
• Strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our Customers.
• Service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls.
• Size, install, test, adjust and service natural gas equipment ranging from residential furnaces to industrial boilers.
• Attend and successfully complete the required technical and safety training.
• Daily communication with Journeyperson.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily communication with Journeyperson
• Service plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment and controls
• Size, install, test, adjust and service natural gas equipment ranging from residential furnaces to industrial boilers
• Attend and successfully complete the required technical and safety training

Experience and Educational Requirements

• Minimum 2nd year plumbing apprentice
• Previous experience an asset

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
• Valid Driver’s license and driver’s abstract required
• Working knowledge of electrical meter and electricity
