Strike Group is seeking an Apprentice Pipefitter in Conklin, Alberta, to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment at the Cenovus Christina Lake North plant. Requirements include being a registered 3rd or 4th year apprentice with provincial/federal authority, valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets, and ability to pass pre‑employment drug

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyperson pipefitters on site with installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel.
• Assemble piping and valves in modules and compressor packages.
• Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting and rigging.
• Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
• Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints.
