Job summary

InVision Staffing Services Inc. has an opening for an apprentice Millwright with a leading manufacturing company to join their team in Ontario.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, with hands-on experience using precision tools and alignment techniques. You will work with milling machines, lathes, pneumatics, and hydraulics, demonstrate strong problem-solving, teamwork, safety adherence, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Qualifications

• Registered apprenticeship and strong hands-on experience with mechanical equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical failures in manufacturing settings.
• Familiarity with milling machines, lathes, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision tool usage.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and fast decision making.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and time-management in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist troubleshooting and diagnosis of mechanical equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Dismantle and assemble machine parts for repairs using hand and power tools.
• Analyze machine errors with operators to diagnose issues and resolve mechanical problems.
• Repair worn or defective components using welding/brazing as needed.
• Use micrometers and plumb bobs to calibrate and align equipment.
• Follow technical manuals and safety policies at all times.
• Support additional duties as assigned.

Our client, a leading manufacturing company has an opening for an apprentice Millwright -to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist of troubleshooting, observing, and performing diagnosis of mechanical equipment failures and making necessary corrective actions and/or recommendations
• Dismantling and assembling of various machine parts in order to perform repairs using hand and power tools
• Analyzing machine errors and work with operators to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
• Repairing broken or defective machine parts, as required, with the use of welding and/or brazing tools
• Using specialized tools, such as micrometers and plumb bobs, to calibrate and align equipment
• Reviewing and following highly technical and complex machinery manuals
• Consistently adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
• All other duties as many be assigned

Qualifications:

• Registered apprenticeship
• Good familiarity with different types of manufacturing equipment, including milling machines, lathes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Strong hand-eye coordination and flexibility using tools
• Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Operating with a sense of urgency and consistently delivering results.
• Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Self-directed with a commitment to achieving objectives in a time-sensitive environment
• Capable of safely lifting up to 60lbs
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to simplify complex problems, conduct thorough analyses, and provide clear recommendations.
