Job summary

Seaboard Transport Group in Mount Pearl, NL is seeking 3rd and/or 4th year Apprentice Mechanics to join our family-owned team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, follow safety standards, and participate in safety and maintenance meetings.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
  • Experience as a B620 inspector is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Professionalism and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
  • Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
  • Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
  • Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.

Your Role

As part of our team, you’ll:

What You Bring to the Table
  • Apprentice certification as a truck and/or trailer mechanic.
  • Experience as a B620 inspector (an asset but not required).
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • High level of professionalism and teamwork.
  • Additional experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, or welding is an asset.
