Job summary

Seaboard Transport Group in Sarnia, ON is seeking Apprentice Mechanics to join our team. You will perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, participate in safety meetings, and complete electronic work orders while maintaining a clean workspace.

Ideal candidates hold an apprentice certification as a truck/trailer mechanic and bring strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, plus computer proficiency. Asset: B620 inspector and related experience are considered an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Apprentice certification as a truck/trailer mechanic.
  • Experience or familiarity with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • High level of professionalism and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs in adherence to safety standards and regulations.
  • Participate in safety and maintenance meetings.
  • Engage in professional and service-oriented interactions with colleagues.
  • Complete electronic work orders and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Diagnose issues and communicate required parts effectively.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and annual motor vehicle inspections.
  • Stay up to date with work-related training and development opportunities.
