Job summary

Inland Truck & Equipment in Leduc, Canada is seeking a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join our team. You will perform minor maintenance, assist senior technicians, and help prepare service documentation to meet dealer and factory standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Certification with heavy truck experience, and at least one year of hands-on training in a heavy-duty fleet or shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Certification with Heavy Truck experience.
• Minimum 1 year training in a Heavy-Duty Truck fleet or shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance per dealer and factory standards.
• Prepare service documentation in accordance with policy.
• Perform quality work while adhering to supervisor directions.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance.

Apprentice Heavy-Duty Truck Technician - Leduc

We are looking for a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Heavy Duty Truck Technician for our Leduc facility, who is responsible for performing minor maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards, preparing service documentation in accordance with company policy, and performing quality work while adhering to the work assigned to them by the on floor supervisor.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
• Install new or replacement parts according to specifications
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specification and legislated regulations
• Assure completion of all repairs, maintenance requirements and/or modifications to the truck or other assigned vehicle
• Stay abreast of technology and attend training as it becomes available
