Qualifications

  • Ability to work on-site in varying weather, lift moderate weights, and use tools safely.

Role Description

The Apprentice Electrician will support licensed electricians with day-to-day electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This contract, on-site role is based in Regina, SK and involves assisting with wiring, conduit installation, fixture and equipment mounting, and panel work under supervision. The apprentice will help perform basic troubleshooting, follow work orders, prepare materials and tools, and maintain a clean and safe job site. The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures and Canadian electrical code standards, accurate documentation of work completed, and collaboration with team members, contractors, and site supervisors. The Apprentice Electrician will also be expected to learn and develop technical skills through hands-on training and guidance from experienced tradespeople.

Qualifications
  • Foundational knowledge of electricity concepts, electrical safety practices, and basic circuit theory.
  • Hands-on skills in electrical work, including assisting with wiring, installation, and panel work under supervision.
  • Ability to support maintenance & repair tasks, including routine inspections, component replacement, and basic system checks.
  • Developing troubleshooting skills to help identify issues in electrical systems and support corrective actions.
  • Interest or training in electrical engineering principles relevant to building and facility electrical systems.
  • Enrollment in or completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship or pre-employment electrical program is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to follow instructions, and commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, lift moderate weights, and use hand and power tools safely.
  • Good communication skills, reliability, and a professional attitude when working with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation to Regina, SK job sites preferred.
