Job summary

Kal Tire in Canada is seeking a motivated 2nd-year AST apprentice to gain hands-on experience with tires, brakes, and alignments. You will join a safety‑focused team and enter a leading-edge training program, learning modern tools and technology while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end brake services, shock replacements, and wheel alignments.
• Remove, install, repair, and balance tires on passenger and light truck vehicles safely
• Diagnose tire issues and perform appropriate repairs.
• Operate and maintain alignment and flush machines, and perform oil, lube, and filter services.
• Assist with mechanical inspections and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Completion of Level 1 Automotive Technician Program or equivalent experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, effective problem‑solving skills, and a willingness to learn in the automotive industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physical capability to work in a demanding environment, including heavy lifting and frequent movement.
• A safety‑focused mindset with a positive, respectful, and team‑oriented attitude.
