Kal Tire in South Edmonton, AB, is growing its mechanical team and seeks a 4th Year Registered Apprentice or Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician. You’ll perform mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles, while mentoring apprentices and advancing toward a Lead Technician role.

You’ll work with experienced technicians, gain exposure to advanced tools, and enjoy a benefits-focused environment with career growth and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson/Journeyman or Red Seal)
• Valid driver’s license
• 3+ years hands-on experience with brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments
• Experience with inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Attention to detail and methodical problem-solving

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
• Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing expertise and supporting skill development.
• Collaborate with a skilled team on vehicles from standard cars to light trucks.
• Identify potential service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
