Job summary

Maple Ridge Volkswagen in Pitt Meadows, BC is hiring an Apprentice Automotive Technician (1st Year) to join our dealership team. You\'ll perform oil changes, tire services, and complete multi-point inspections, while learning diagnostics with guidance from senior technicians.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid Canadian driver\'s license, and physical stamina for a fast-paced shop. Prior oil change or tire experience is an asset, and dealership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Oil change and tire experience is an asset.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Shop/dealership experience is preferred.
• Must be able to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
• Must possess a valid Canadian driver\'s license and a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil & filter changes.
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, and related services.
• Perform complete multi-point inspections and present findings to the Service Advisor.
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicle systems.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other items.
• Inspect engines, performance, and electrical systems using diagnostic tools.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension.
