Job summary

Sherwood Park Volkswagen is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose, test, and repair vehicles to OEM standards in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The role requires a provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (or in process) with strong diagnostic skills and teamwork. You will mentor apprentices and uphold safety while delivering quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.
• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality.
• Perform preventative maintenance and multi-point inspections.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs and timelines.
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Maintain an inventory of common tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and training classes.
• Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty.
