Role Overview: We seek a hands-on AppOps, Senior Specialist to develop modular, reusable solutions that streamline AppOps processes, build tools, frameworks, and automation to enhance operational efficiency for a new product. You will contribute to developing libraries and scripts that integrate with our cloud infrastructure for rapid deployment, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build modular, reusable frameworks to streamline workflows and enable automation.
• Develop tools, scripts, and modules that embed AppOps functionalities like logging, monitoring, and alerting into application code and pipelines.
• Manage version-controlled libraries, templates, and automation modules for seamless integration.
• Automate deployment, testing, monitoring, and recovery processes to improve system performance.
• Develop observability modules for metrics, logging, and tracing for proactive monitoring.
• Incorporate operational checks into CI/CD workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
• Refine tools and processes to increase operational efficiency and system resilience.
• Enhance operational practices post-deployment through real-time monitoring and system optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of AppOps capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Experience in AppOps, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• Experience working with developers, SRE, QA, or Security teams to embed capabilities into code, pipelines, and environments.
• Experience leading or participating in Agile and DevOps transformations.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages and configuration tools for automation frameworks and tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation testing, deployment, and operational checks.
• Eligibility to work full-time for Interac in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Solutions Architect (or similar in Azure, GCP).
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Certification.
• ITIL Foundation.
