Job summary

Valmet is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical support for electrical, controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid systems used in paper machine equipment. You will work closely with customers, sales, product management, and operations to develop solutions, prepare quotations, and support successful project execution.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation Engineering and 2–5 years of experience are ideal; knowledge of PLCs, drives, instrumentation, hydraulics, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years in application engineering or related industrial controls.
• Knowledge of PLCs, drives, instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to customers and sales teams.
• Develop technical and commercial quotations.
• Respond to customer and sales inquiries regarding products and applications.
• Configure and recommend solutions based on customer requirements and system specifications.
• Support order execution and resolve technical issues affecting customer orders.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, service, and operations to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
• Support customer visits, site evaluations, and technical presentations.
