Job description

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Manager for its New York, NY location.

Duties:

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure Java applications.
2. Collaborate with product managers, UI (User Interface) developers, and others to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
4. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
5. Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and resolve technical issues.
6. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
7. Work with version control systems like Git and continuous integration/deployment practices using Udeploy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in developing software applications in the financial services industry.
• Experience must include designing and developing high-load, low-latency microservices using Java/Kotlin, implementing high-performance reactive APIs with GRPC, creating and debugging SQL queries and stored procedures, utilizing Apache Ignite for distributed caching, and deploying containerized microservices with OpenShift.
• Alternatively, a Master’s degree with three (3) years of relevant experience is acceptable.
