Job summary

Franklin Empire Inc. is seeking an Applications Specialist for Factory Automation, Motion and Drives at the London or Kitchener branches.

You will develop and support sales activities using your electro-mechanical knowledge, work with Sales Representatives and Business Developers, and provide training and quotations to customers and the sales team to help achieve targets.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have prior experience selling and applying SCADA HMI, PLC motion and drives products.
• Experience with Siemens Simatic PLCs (TIA/Step7 Classic) and drives/motion products is an asset.
• Strong technical skills and a customer service focus are required.
• Engineering degree or equivalent with 3–5 years related experience and/or training.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others and strong written/verbal English.
• Good computer skills with Microsoft Office software.
• Valid driver's license and own car.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support sales activities using electro-mechanical technical knowledge and market awareness.
• Collaborate with Sales Reps and Business Developers to support Factory Automation products.
• Contribute to sales strategies to achieve targets.

Applications Specialist – Factory Automation, Motion and Drives

We represent many quality manufacturers and offer products and solutions for the industrial, commercial, residential and utility markets. This opportunity has a particular focus on Factory Automation,Motion Control systems and mechanical components including HMI’s safe and non-safe PLC’s,servo control systems, variable speed drives,motors, gear motors, gearboxes, actuators and collaborative robots.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, a self-starter, to take on the Applications Specialist role working out of our London or Kitchener branch.

As an Applications Specialist for Factory Automation, Motion and Drive Products you will be expected to develop and support sales activities utilizing your specialized electro-mechanical technical knowledge, applications strengths and market awareness. You will work with our Sales Representatives and Business Developers to support these key products and to contribute to sales strategies to achieve targets.

TheApplications Specialist will offer applications support, assist with quotations and provide training as necessary to both our customer base and our sales team.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have prior experience selling and applying SCADA HMI, PLC motion and drives products. Experience with Siemens Simatic PLC’s on the TIA and Step7 Classic platform, general purpose drives and motion products with mechanical systems knowledge is an asset.

We require individuals with proven technical skills and a customer service focus. We are seeking a candidate with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree, Engineering Certification or equivalent with a minimum of three to five years relatedexperience and/or training.

Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others. We expect a strong technical and organizational aptitude, plus excellent interpersonal skills. Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and be fluent in English. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software. The Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and own a car.
