Job Description

The Application Specialist plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support for surveillance camera and video management applications and platforms. This position serves as the main point of contact for technical support, triaging issues to internal support, vendors, or partners to ensure effective operation. The role is essential for maintaining the functionality and performance of surveillance systems within the enterprise.

This position requires full-time on-site presence.

All successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Responsibilities

1. Evaluate, troubleshoot, and maintain physical security systems.
2. Configure access control, surveillance cameras, and intercoms.
3. Maintain updates on camera hardware and access control hardware.
4. Participate in technical discussions for configuration, testing, and operations of platform solutions.
5. Ensure compliance with daily management checklists for operational effectiveness.
6. Provide 'go live' and post-'go live' support for projects and solutions.
7. Upgrade and manage different environments, recommending improvements for performance, availability, and scalability.

Qualifications

1. Education: University degree, college diploma, or related discipline.
2. Experience: 5-10 years.
3. Technically inclined, process-oriented, and driven by curiosity.
4. Passionate about technology.
5. Customer service mindset with high attention to detail.
6. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
