Job Description

Reports to: Engineering Team Lead

Work Location: Cambridge, ON, Canada

Summary

We are strategically expanding our Medium Voltage Solutions Team and are committed to attracting and selecting the highest caliber of talent. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and shape the future of industrial automation.

Are you a highly-motivated professional ready to solve complex engineering challenges? In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of Medium Voltage orders, ensuring seamless progression from order entry to shipment. Your expertise in developing electrical system solutions, particularly within Medium Voltage (2400V - 15kV) Motor Control Centers and Variable Frequency Drives, will be critical to our success.

You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction through precise electrical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical support.

You will report to the Engineering Team Leader and work from Cambridge, ON, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand customer specifications and drawings.
  • Interface with customer on technical, scheduling, and commercial aspects of the order.
  • Resolve and document exceptions and questions.
  • Develop a knowledge of Rockwell products and be able to speak to the benefits of them in certain applications.
  • Application knowledge on Oil /Gas, Mining, water wastewater, Marin.
  • Create and modify electrical/mechanical drawings and mechanical models using engineering software
  • Generate and modify project Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required.
  • Support and collaborate with manufacturing by providing build instructions and to resolution of technical issues during build process.


The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Up to 10% Travel


The Preferred - You may also have
  • Typically requires Minimum 5 years of engineering design experience
  • Proven experience in motor control circuits and Application Engineering
  • Advanced proficiency in ACAD and CREO or equivalent.
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) certification, or the ability to obtain.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders
  • General Knowledge of Project Management and Lean Principles.
  • Be able to handle multiple projects and deadlines running in parallel and make decisions while dealing with conflicting priorities.
  • Willing to learn both electrical and mechanical disciplines to provide a complete solution for our customers.
  • PLC software programming experience
  • Familiarity with SAP and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated Growth potential.
