Our client, a leading law firm located in downtown Toronto, is restructuring their IT team. They seek a highly skilled Applications Engineer to build automation solutions, streamline IT processes, and operate independently within their Microsoft environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advanced PowerShell Scripting: Design and implement complex scripts for automation across deployment, imaging, and GPO management for Windows 11.
• Automation & Optimization: Identify and translate manual tasks into scalable scripts within the existing infrastructure.
• Script Troubleshooting & Refinement: Troubleshoot and optimize scripts for stability and performance.
• MECM Support: Support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) integration and automation.
• System Configuration & Management: Manage Windows 11 configurations and performance through scripting.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of scripts and workflows.
• Collaboration: Work with the IT team to understand requirements, test, and deploy solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Deep PowerShell Expertise: Extensive experience in complex script development and troubleshooting.
• MECM (SCCM) Background: Support role experience with MECM, including software distribution and patch management.
• Windows Proficiency: Strong understanding of Windows OS architecture and management.
• GPO Experience: Automate GPO tasks via PowerShell.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Autonomy & Proactiveness: Capable of working independently and managing projects proactively.
• Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and device management is a plus.
