Job summary

STACK IT Recruitment is seeking an Applications (.NET) Developer & IT Support Analyst to join our client’s IT team in a hands-on role combining .NET development, SQL, application support, and IT support.

You will develop and maintain internal business applications, troubleshoot SQL and application issues, and provide hands-on technical support for employees across Canada and the United States.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years supporting business applications in a Microsoft environment.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, including writing and debugging queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with C#/.NET applications and Visual Studio.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a portfolio of custom business applications used across the organization.
• Troubleshoot application issues, bugs, and system integrations.
• Write, modify, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Investigate issues across multiple integrated systems, including ERP and custom web applications.
• Develop enhancements using C#/.NET and Visual Studio.
• Collaborate with employees to understand technical issues and provide practical solutions.
• Provide remote support via phone/email/tools and assist with deployments/upgrades.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Offer occasional hardware support for office devices when needed.
• Suggest improvements to existing applications, reporting tools, and processes.

We're looking for an Application (.NET) Developer & IT Support Analyst to join our client's IT team in a hands‑on role that combines .NET development, SQL, application support, and IT support.

You'll develop and maintain internal business applications, troubleshoot SQL and application issues, and provide hands‑on technical support for employees across Canada and the United States.

This is a great fit for a developer who enjoys variety, is confident with basic SQL, and is comfortable troubleshooting both applications and everyday hardware/software issues.

Who You Are

• A hands‑on developer who enjoys troubleshooting and problem‑solving
• Confident writing basic SQL queries from scratch
• Comfortable working across application development, application support, and IT troubleshooting
• Someone who enjoys understanding how systems work together and finding the root cause of an issue
• Comfortable working directly with both technical and non‑technical users
• Patient and service‑oriented when helping users resolve technical issues
• Resourceful and willing to jump into different types of technical problems
• Able to work independently and take ownership of issues through to resolution

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5+ years supporting business applications in a Microsoft environment, ideally as a software developer, application support or hybrid development/support role
• Strong experience with SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting queries and stored procedures
• Experience working with C#/.NET applications
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical usersComfortable supporting multiple applications simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues through resolution
• Strong customer service mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
• Comfortable working in a role that combines application support, development, and business user interaction
