Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a senior cloud architecture leader to transform legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native solutions across platforms including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Collaborate to integrate generative AI (Watson, Azure OpenAI) and uphold testing governance throughout modernization. Master's degree required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required for advanced architecture work and leadership responsibilities.
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in containerization, orchestration, and security governance for modernized apps.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate generative AI technologies (Watson, Azure OpenAI) into enterprise solutions.
• Experience with testing governance and performance optimization across modernization lifecycles.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End Architecture: Design and guide the transformation of legacy systems into modern, scalable, and cloud-native architectures across cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud.
• Design Microservices and APIs: Create microservices, APIs, data models, and integration patterns that support modular, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• Define Containerization Strategies: Develop containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure secure, resilient, and compliant systems.
• Guide AI Adoption: Collaborate with development teams to integrate generative AI technologies, such as Watson and Azure OpenAI, into modernized applications.
• Ensure Testing Governance: Develop and implement robust testing governance and performance optimization throughout the modernization lifecycle.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Microservices and API Design Expertise: Experience with creating microservices, APIs, data models, and integration patterns that support modular, scalable, and maintainable applications
• Deep Expertise in Cloud-Native Architecture: Experience with designing and guiding the transformation of legacy systems into modern, scalable, and cloud-native architectures across cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud.
• Containerization Strategy Development: Experience with developing containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure secure, resilient, and compliant systems.
• Generative AI Technology Integration: Experience with integrating generative AI technologies, such as Watson and Azure OpenAI, into modernized applications.
• Testing Governance and Performance Optimization: Experience with developing and implementing robust testing governance and performance optimization throughout the modernization lifecycle.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Familiarity with Mainframe Z: Knowledge of legacy system integration approaches, patterns and implementations for hybrid cloud deployments and data migration.
• Experience with other integration and real-time data platforms and vendors such as Boomi and Confluent
• Understanding of Application Modernization Methods (AMM) and can facilitate the creation of effective modernization roadmaps and strategies.
