Job summary

SASKATCHEWAN CANCER AGENCY in Regina is seeking an Applications Analyst to understand enterprise workflows, design and modify software applications, and support ongoing vendor/enterprise systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or engineering plus 2 years directly related experience or a diploma in computer technology or engineering plus 5 years directly related experience.
• Certification in various operating systems/software applications as required.
• Experience in an application analyst role in a highly integrated IT environment.
• HL7 experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft's Power Platform, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and YAML-based automation.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Application Services, Application Analysts are client-focused programmers/analysts responsible for: developing an understanding of business enterprise requirements and workflows, standards and nomenclature; business analysis (or working with the business analyst); assessing, designing and modifying software applications; modifying vendor software, documenting business rules; providing training of other analysts and business unit staff; providing ongoing technical management of specified applications; and, providing support to project teams or other applications analysts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• - Bachelors degree in computer science, business administration, or engineering plus 2 years directly related experience or a diploma in computer technology or engineering plus 5 years directly related experience.
• - Certification in various operating systems/software applications as required.

Experience:

• - Experience in an application analyst role in a highly integrated IT environment.
• - HL7 experience preferred.
• - Preferred experience with Microsoft's application development ecosystem including Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), Power BI, Azure DevOps, Git source control, CI/CD pipelines, and YAML-based automation for enterprise application delivery.
