Job summary

Midland Appliance World in Winnipeg, MB is seeking an experienced appliance service technician to diagnose, repair and service large household appliances on site.

You will plan service routes, read schematics, test with electrical equipment, and inform customers about repairs and ongoing conditions. A minimum 5 years of experience and ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma.
• 5 years or more experience in appliance service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct voltage, resistance and other tests using electrical test equipment.
• Prepare written estimates of repair costs.
• Plan service routes.
• Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.
• Diagnose faults, using testing devices.
• Repair electrical appliances and components.
• Replace faulty components.
• Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment.
