Job summary

Mad Engine Global, LLC in Canada is seeking a creative Apparel Designer to join the Toronto design team. You will translate fashion trends and consumer insights into commercially successful apparel concepts and build CADs, flats and color palettes.

Responsibilities include researching fashion, color, fabric and consumer trends; designing for licensed, branded and private label programs; and collaborating with Product Development, Sales, Merchandising, Licensing and Production to bring products

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of apparel design experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing apparel design, graphics & trend interpretation.
• Advanced Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims & manufacturing.
• Licensed, wholesale or private label experience preferred.
• Canadian retail experience is a plus.
