What We’re Looking For

As a Technical Designer, you will be responsible for communicating garment technical requirements to the design team, developing detailed technical packages, contributing to the growth of the company through creative and technical document management and collaborating with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Build detailed technical packages to illustrate every detail of the garment components and the technical packaging component needs.
  • Create black and white technical sketches for various styles.
  • Add additional details for clarification to ensure alignment and proper execution (pictures, sketches, etc.).
  • Communicate technical requirements to Design Team Leads to ensure efficient development.
  • Collaborate with designers to improve engineering of garments on various design projects.
  • Manage and follow up on various projects during the process with internal departments.
  • Collaborate to create and update styles in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Serve as a resource person for technical and process questions within internal departments.
  • Build technical files and create detailed technical packages illustrating garment components and packaging needs.
3D Clothing Design
  • Utilize 3D modeling software (CLO3D) to create realistic virtual prototypes of clothing designs.
  • Collaborate with the design team to translate 2D concepts into 3D garments, considering fit, fabric drape and construction.
  • Iterate on 3D designs based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring alignment with aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in 3D clothing software and techniques, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure accurate pattern creation based on 3D designs, providing feedback and adjustments as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of technical apparel design, garment development and project management experience (Technical Designer).
  • Understanding of garment construction, patternmaking and fit.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven experience in utilizing 3D clothing software (e.g., CLO3D, Browzwear, Optitex) to create virtual garments and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems.
