Job summary

Nortech Advanced NDT Ltd. is seeking API Inspectors to support a turnaround project in Fort McMurray, starting September 1 for six weeks. Local Edmonton candidates may apply, and camp accommodations are provided for the duration of the project.

The role requires setup and calibration of NDT equipment, execution of tests, safety compliance, reporting results, and potential supervision of others on site. Candidates should have API credentials and a strong NDT background.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • API certification.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
  • Organize and report test results
  • Perform specialized inspections
  • May instruct and supervise others
  • Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Nortech is seeking API Inspectors to support a Turnaround project Sept 1 for approximately 6 weeks in Fort MacMurray. Candidates can either be local to Edmonton or can be from other geographic regions with camp accommodations being provided for duration of project

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
  • Organize and report test results
  • Perform specialized inspections
  • May instruct and supervise others
  • Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • API
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment
