Teulon (MB Area) - 21 min drive from Petersfield

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with all areas of production, including:

• Feeding and general care of pigs
• Maintaining herd health and environment for pigs
• Pressure washing and preparing rooms
• General maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties, such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication

This position requires teamwork towards production goals, adherence to health and safety policies, and following MLAF SOPs regarding humane animal treatment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION

• Willingness and ability to learn
• Strong team and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Positive work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to lift 25kg
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to a rural area
• Availability for weekend, holiday hours, and alarm attending on a rotational basis
• Experience in hog production is an asset
