Animal Care Technician

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with all areas of production, including:

• Feeding and general care of pigs
• Maintaining herd health and environment for pigs
• Pressure washing and preparing rooms
• General maintenance, cleaning, and clerical duties, such as maintaining door charts, inventory trackers, and ordering feed and medication

This position requires teamwork towards specific production goals, adherence to health and safety policies, and following MLAF SOPs regarding humane treatment of animals.

• Willingness and ability to learn; strong team and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to a rural work location
