NHH is a 137-bed community hospital with four operating rooms planned for this Fall, a low-risk Obstetrics Program with approximately 600 deliveries per year and a dedicated C-Section OR, plus a 10-bed ICU staffed by intensivists.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, Dental, ENT (Paeds ages 2 and up), Cataracts, Endoscopy, and Minor Vascular (Vein Stripping) procedures.

Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) in Cobourg, Ontario (an hour East of Toronto) is seeking a full-time FP- Anesthesiologist for Fall 2026.

NHH is a 137-bed community hospital with 4 daily ORs planned for this Fall (expanded from 3). NHH also has a low-risk Obstetrics Program with approximately 600 deliveries per year and a dedicated C-Section OR. Additionally, we have a 10-bed ICU staffed by intensivists.

We provide Anesthesia for the following services: General Surgery, OB/GYN, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, Dental, ENT (Paeds ages 2 and up), Cataracts, Endoscopy, and Minor Vascular (Vein Stripping).

NHH has a well-equipped OR with new Drager Zeus machines, TCI pumps, and Sedlines in each OR. We also have two excellent Anesthesia Assistants.

We are a fee-for-service site with HOCC on-call funding. There are also additional opportunities and financial supports available.
