Job summary

A law firm in Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced lawyer to join their busy Real Estate Practice. The role involves handling purchasing and selling of properties, financing, and managing property migrations. Ideal candidates should have at least 2 years of experience practicing law and be a member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience practicing law.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with purchasing and selling residential and commercial properties.

Anderson Sinclair Barristers & Solicitors, with offices in Bedford and Kentville, is looking for an experienced lawyer to join our busy Real Estate Practice.

Areas of Focus:
  • Purchasing and Selling used residential, new home construction, condominiums, and vacant land;
  • Financing and Refinancing used residential and condominiums;
  • Migrations and Easements;
  • Subdivisions and Developments; and
  • Transfers of Property.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience practicing law;
  • Member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society;
  • Highly attentive individual who is organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an experienced, supportive team;
  • Excellent computer skills, experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and has the ability to learn new software quickly.

Compensation based on experience and qualifications.
