Job summary

BrokerLink is seeking a Manager, Analytics to join our Calgary, AB or Toronto, ON offices. You will lead analytics initiatives and partner with stakeholders to turn data into actionable insights.

You are a strong communicator with 5+ years of team leadership in financial services, and you will own the analytics roadmap, drive operational performance, and mentor a diverse analytics team. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, business management, finance, computer science, statistics, or related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience working in the financial industry, specifically insurance
• 5+ years’ experience managing teams
• Strong analytical judgement and strategic thinking, ability to assess data quality and provide insights
• Skilled communicator with ability to interact across teams and present to executives

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and build alignment across teams and organizational levels
• Develop in-depth business knowledge and translate business questions and complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
• Partner with stakeholders to define and monitor metrics and document calculation methods
• Identify improvement opportunities and assess impact of changes and initiatives
• Own analytics roadmap and balance recurring deliverables with strategic initiatives
• Coach and develop analytics team and strengthen documentation and knowledge sharing
• Ensure reporting accuracy through defined business rules and testing
• Collaborate with Distribution, Finance and Technology to deliver coordinated analytics solutions
• Simplify and improve the reporting portfolio and promote adoption of insights
