Cymax Group Technologies in Vancouver, Canada, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build the data foundation that powers analytics, reporting, and ML initiatives.

You’ll design medallion-ready lakehouses on Databricks, craft robust ELT/ETL pipelines with SQL and Python, and partner with the analytics team to deliver trusted data for Power BI and beyond. This hybrid role offers growth in a fast-paced ecommerce tech environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineer with strong experience in data modeling and pipelines.
• Experience with modern data platforms and BI readiness.
• Attention to data quality, testing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Audit current warehouse and design target-state migrations.
• Build lakehouse with bronze/silver/gold layers on Databricks.
• Model data with dimensional/star schemas for analytics.
• Develop and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines using SQL and Python/PySpark.
• Improve data integrity with testing and validation.
• Automate reporting foundations feeding Power BI and other consumers.
• Enable clean BI through well-structured semantic models.
• Document and follow engineering practices (CI/CD for data).
• Prepare data for ML and AI, including feature-ready datasets.
