Job summary

Remarcable in Vancouver is seeking a data scientist/analyst to help scale our analytics platform. You will translate business questions into analyses and partner with Data Engineering to design the lakehouse's semantic and analytical layers on AWS (S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue).

You’ll build models and heuristics for product, operations, and customers, create dashboards, and contribute to experimentation. Proficiency in SQL and Python, plus experience with reporting tools and dbt, are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Scientist/Analytics role.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy).
• Experience building dashboards/reporting (QuickSight/Looker/Tableau/Power BI).
• Experience building, validating, and deploying ML/heuristic models.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Data Engineering to design lakehouse semantic and analytical layers on AWS.
• Translate business questions into analyses and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Analyze product, operations, and customer usage data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Build models and heuristics powering Remarcable Intelligence (e.g. forecasting, recommender systems).
• Develop and maintain analytics supporting company metrics (ARR, churn, NRR, ROI).
• Create customer-facing and internal reporting for customers and teams.
• Design and validate product experiments (A/B tests) to improve user experience.
