Job summary

MaintainX, a leading analytics-driven platform, is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build scalable data models and data pipelines that empower product, operations, and AI teams. You will implement data quality, governance, and tooling to enable self-serve analytics at scale.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business teams, mentoring others and shaping data strategy across the organization in a hybrid work setting in Canada.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as analytics engineer building data pipelines with dbt and data lakehouse tech.
• Deep knowledge of dbt, data modeling, and BI best practices.
• Ability to translate analytics requirements from non-technical stakeholders into self-serve solutions.
• Experience applying software development fundamentals (env segregation, version control, release management).
• Proven mentoring experience to raise team output.
• Excellent English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Build the data foundation enabling teams to trust and use data independently.
• Develop extensible data models for product analytics, internal reporting, and AI workflows.
• Implement data quality checks and governance policies.
• Develop analytics engineering tooling for self-serve analytics while adhering to best practices.
• Monitor, optimize pipelines and storage for performance and cost.
• Document datasets to ensure discoverability without hand-holding.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business teams; drive self-serve data.
