Job summary

Aon is a leading risk, retirement, and health solutions firm seeking a Data Analytics & Automation Engineer. You will collaborate with business leaders and technology teams to deliver scalable reporting, automation, and data solutions that enable strategic decision-making across Canada.

You will own analytics delivery, Power Platform solutions, data engineering in Snowflake and Databricks, and deployment governance, while partnering with stakeholders to drive adoption and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, or automation-focused roles.
• Experience developing solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, and Python.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Services, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the build, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
• Interpret business requirements and develop scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Partner with business leaders to identify reporting opportunities and drive adoption of analytics solutions.
• Deliver insights that support data-driven decision making across multiple business functions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
• Establish and lead ALM processes across development, testing, and production environments.
• Maintain deployment pipelines and solution release processes.
• Support governance, security, licensing, and platform guidelines.
• Fix sophisticated platform issues and collaborate with Microsoft support where required.
• Support and enhance analytical environments within Databricks and Snowflake.
• Design and maintain automated data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
• Develop and supervise scalable data pipelines.
• Improve accessibility and reliability of enterprise data assets.
